FAQ
Who are these cooking classes for?
These classes are designed for adults who want to learn how to cook with confidence in their own kitchen. They’re a great fit for individuals, couples looking for a fun date night, or small groups of adults who enjoy cooking together.
Do you offer cooking classes for kids?
No. I do not offer kids-only cooking classes. My classes are structured, technique-focused, and designed for adult learning. This allows me to give proper instruction, keep the experience enjoyable, and ensure everyone gets real value from the class.
Can kids be present during the class?
Kids may be in the home, but the class itself is designed for adult participation and focus. This is not a children’s activity or entertainment-style event.
What types of cooking classes do you offer?
I offer three main formats:
-
Private one-on-one classes for individuals
-
Couples cooking classes (perfect for date nights)
-
Small group adult classes for friends or hosts who love to cook together
All classes are hands-on and held in your home.
Where do the cooking classes take place?
All classes are taught in your kitchen. This allows you to learn on the equipment you already use, making it much easier to recreate the dishes later.
How long does a cooking class last?
Most classes run 2–3 hours, depending on the menu and group size. Long enough to learn real skills, not so long that it feels exhausting.
What will we cook during the class?
Menus are fully customized based on your interests, skill level, and goals. Popular themes include:
-
Italian classics (pasta, sauces, proteins)
-
Asian-inspired dishes (dumplings, stir-fries)
-
Comfort food done properly
-
Entertaining and hosting-focused menus
We’ll decide on a menu together before the class.
Do we get to eat the food we cook?
Yes. Always. Cooking, learning, and then sitting down to enjoy the meal is a core part of the experience.
Do you provide the ingredients?
Ingredients can be handled either way:
-
You can purchase them yourself using my list
-
Or I can coordinate groceries for you as part of the planning process
We’ll confirm this ahead of time so everything runs smoothly.
How much do cooking classes cost?
Pricing depends on:
-
Number of participants
-
Length of the class
-
Level of customization
Most clients invest several hundred dollars for a private in-home cooking class. Exact pricing is shared once I know what you’re looking for.
How many people can participate?
Classes work best with small groups so everyone can be involved and learn. If you’re hosting a group, I’ll let you know what size makes sense for your kitchen and menu.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes. Dietary needs and allergies can be accommodated with advance notice. This includes gluten-free, dairy-free, and other common restrictions.
Is this more like a cooking demonstration or a class?
This is a hands-on class. You’ll be actively cooking while I guide you through techniques, timing, and execution. The goal is for you to walk away confident — not just entertained.
What areas do you serve?
I offer in-home cooking classes in Coppell, Irving, Las Colinas, and surrounding North Dallas areas.
How far in advance should I book?
Dates fill up quickly, especially for evenings and weekends. I recommend reaching out at least 2 to 3 weeks at least in advance.
